Reagent test
The Opioid Reagent Test contains Froehde’s reagent, which is best suited for heroin or other opioids. It is also suitable for the detection of methamphetamine, amphetamines and MDxx. It is used to positively detect heroin, morphine, codeine, oxycodone and to exclude various less predictable, less desirable, highly toxic and dangerous substances. Multiple reagents are required to detect false positives and increase the accuracy of the analysis. Fentanyl requires the use of a fentanyl test strip. Reagent tests can indicate the PRESENCE of the SUBSTANCE, but not the QUANTITY. Mixtures can only be detected with reagents
when the mixture causes a darker color change than the expected substance.
